Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how to request deletion of data held by MarkWhiz. It applies both to businesses that hold an account with us and to individuals who received WhatsApp messages from a business using our platform.

• Account information — organisation and user profiles, login credentials, roles and account settings.
• Contact data — phone numbers, names, attributes, tags, segments and consent records.
• WhatsApp data — conversation history, message content and metadata, templates, campaign records and delivery reports.
• Uploaded media — images, documents, audio and video stored for conversations or campaigns.

Send an email to privacy@markwhiz.in with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include:

• your full name and the organisation involved;
• the email address or WhatsApp number the data relates to;
• which categories of data you want deleted (or "all data");
• whether you are the account holder or a message recipient.

Account administrators may also raise the request from inside the application at https://app.markwhiz.in, or contact us on WhatsApp at +91 88001 04439 to start the process.

To protect against fraudulent requests, we verify identity before deleting anything:

• Account holders — we confirm the request from the registered administrator email and may require confirmation from a second registered contact.
• Message recipients — we confirm control of the phone number or email address in question, typically via a one-time confirmation message.

If a request concerns data a business customer controls, we forward it to that business and support them in fulfilling it, as described in our Privacy Policy.

• Acknowledgement of the request: within 2 business days.
• Identity verification: normally completed within 5 business days.
• Deletion from live systems: within 30 days of successful verification.
• Removal from encrypted backups: within a further 90 days as backups rotate.

We may retain limited records where the law requires it — for example invoices and tax records, or information needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, prevent fraud or meet platform-compliance obligations. Retained records are minimised, access-restricted and deleted once the obligation ends.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed. Deleting account data ends access to the application and removes conversation history, campaign records and analytics associated with the account. We recommend exporting anything you need before submitting a request.
